Abstract

Ang pananaliksik na ito ay naglayong suriin ang epekto ng paggamit ng zines bilang kagamitang panturo sa antas ng pagkatuto ng mga mag-aaral sa akademikong pagsulat ng Mataas na Paaralan ng Sta. Elena. Gumamit ang mananaliksik ng quasi-experimental na disenyo na may panimula at panapos na pagtatasa disenyong pangkat kontrolado kung saan parehong sinuri ang eksperimental at kontroladong pangkat bago at pagkatapos ng interbensyon. Kabilang sa mga kalahok ang dalawang seksyon mula sa ABM istrand: ang ABM Progressiveness bilang pangkat eksperimental na gumamit ng mga zines, at ang ABM Productivity bilang pangkat kontrolado na ginamitan ng karaniwang estratehiya sa pagtuturo. Ang mga zines na ginamit sa pananaliksik na ito ay sinuri ng mga eksperto. Gumamit ang pananaliksik ng mga estadistikang deskriptibo tulad ng mean at standard deviation, at inferensyal na pagsusuri gamit ang Z-Test upang masukat ang pagkakaiba ng antas ng pagkatuto bago at pagkatapos ng interbensyon. Nakakuha ng |-8.597509| na Independyenteng Z-Test na halaga ang pangkat eksperimental na higit na mas mataas kaysa sa Kritikal Z-Test na halaga na -1.96. Sa kabilang grupo naman na kontrolado ay may |-2.690460| Independyenteng Z-test na halaga mas higit sa Kritikal Z-Test na halaga na -1.96. Nagtataglay ang dalawang resulta ng |-5.907049| na diperensya. Ipinakita ng resulta na mas mataas ang pagtaas ng antas ng pagkatuto ng pangkat na gumamit ng mga zines, partikular sa mga kasanayan ng literasiyang pang-impormasyon (information literacy) at kasanayan sa paglutas ng suliranin (problem-solving skills). Batay sa mga natuklasan, inirerekomenda ang paggamit ng mga zines bilang alternatibo at makabago ngunit epektibong kagamitang panturo upang mapaunlad ang kasanayan sa akademikong pagsulat ng mga mag-aaral sa senior high school.
