Abstract

This study assessed time management strategies and   the level of academic performance of Grade 5 Mathematics learners among the select public elementary Schools at Madridejos District, DepEd Cebu Province Division during School Year 2025-2026, as basis for Time Management Skills Activities. This study employed   descriptive-quantitative method of research. The respondents of this research were the Grade 5 Mathematics  learners among the select public elementary schools in Madridejos District of Cebu Province Division during the School Year 2025 – 2026.  The population has a total of 65 respondents with 10 teachers and 55 learners. The quality of Mathematics instruction is closely associated with teachers' professional competence, continuous learning, and instructional experience. Significant relationship between status of the time management   strategies and the academic performance of the grade 5 mathematics learners stating that there is no significant relationship between the status of the time management strategies and the academic performance of the Mathematics learners is partially rejected. The hypothesis is rejected for the dimensions and competencies where the computed probability values are less than the 0.05 level of significance, particularly in setting boundaries in Completing Homework, Balancing Time for School Work, and Balancing Time for Playing, while it is retained for dimensions where the probability values exceed the 0.05 alpha level. As a result, effective time management becomes an essential component of quality Mathematics instruction because it supports learner engagement, strengthens self-discipline, and provides greater opportunities for meaningful mathematical learning.  Findings provide empirical evidence that effective time management practices contribute meaningfully to improving learners' academic productivity in Mathematics and support the development of organized learning behaviors that facilitate mastery of the Most Essential Learning Competencies. Based on the conclusions reached in this research, it is highly Recommended “the Time Management Oriented Activities   can be   submitted to the concerned /  school officials for consideration and implementation.
