Cloud computing has become a foundational infrastructure for organizational agility, innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. However, research linking cloud computing and organizational performance remains fragmented across technological, strategic, managerial, and economic perspectives. This study maps the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of the field through a bibliometric analysis of Scopus-indexed publications from 2008 to 2025. Using VOSviewer version 1.6.17, the study applies citation analysis, co-citation analysis, and co-word analysis to identify influential contributions, intellectual foundations, research networks, and emerging themes. The results show a marked increase in publication activity, particularly after 2020. Co-citation analysis identified five major research streams: digital transformation and organizational competitiveness; cloud infrastructure optimization and organizational readiness; cloud governance and organizational capability development; cloud economics and service ecosystems; and cloud computing, Industry 4.0, and sustainable operational ecosystems. Co-word analysis further highlighted themes related to profitability, costs, digital transformation, service quality, productivity, Industry 4.0, and operational efficiency. Overall, the literature indicates a shift from infrastructure-centered research toward strategic, economic, organizational, and sustainability-oriented perspectives on cloud computing. The study contributes a consolidated view of the field’s intellectual and thematic development and identifies directions for future research on cloud governance, AI-enabled cloud systems, sustainable digital transformation, and intelligent operational ecosystems.
