Abstract

This study aims to analyze publication trends, identify leading contributors, and examine citation patters in digital leadership and school performance research through a quantitative bibliometric design applied to Scopus Indexed publications, using performance metric and science mapping with systematically retrieved, cleaned, and standardized data; findings reveal minimal output in the 1990s but a sharp surge in recent years, with dominance by certain journals , institutions, and countries (notably the United States) journal articles as the primary format, social sciences as the leading discipline , tightly clustered co-authorship networks and technology leadership" as the central theme alongside emerging innovation and e-leadership; these results conclude that policy must expand policy international and interdisciplinary research capacity, particularly in underrepresented regions , while curricula should imbed digital leadership competencies that balance ICT foundations with innovation, resilience, and collaborative practices, preparing future leaders to navigate , complex, digitally mediated educational environments; despite limitations such as reliance on a single data base, exclusion of non-English works, and lack of qualitative depth, the study underscores the importance of  broadening scholarly engagement  and integrating diverse disciplinary perspectives to strengthen evidence-based approaches to educational digital transformation.
