Abstract

This study, entitled Revitalizing the Physical and Mental Well-Being of Elementary Educators: Basis for Holistic Wellness Activities, assessed the well-being and work performance of school heads and elementary teachers in selected public elementary schools in the Cebu Province Division, Danao City Division, and City of Naga, Cebu, during School Year 2025–2026. It examined the respondents’ demographic and professional profiles, perceived well-being across five dimensions—physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual—and work performance based on the Organizational Performance Commitment and Review Form (OPCRF) and the Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF). The study employed a descriptive-quantitative research design, using a structured questionnaire adapted from related studies and supplemented by informal online interviews. Frequency and percentage were used to describe the respondents’ profiles, while weighted mean summarized their perceived well-being and work-performance ratings. The chi-square test was used to examine the association between well-being and work performance at the .05 significance level. The findings revealed a mean score of 4.85 for school heads and 4.385 for teachers, suggesting differences in their reported well-being ratings. Overall, the reported mean scores ranged from 4.385 to 4.85. The relationship between well-being and work performance was examined using the chi-square test, with the analysis focused on determining whether the association was statistically significant. These findings provided a basis for proposing holistic wellness activities addressing physical health, emotional and mental health, positive professional relationships, spiritual well-being, and intellectual growth. The proposed program aims to foster a supportive school environment, strengthen educators’ coping capacities, and promote their personal well-being and professional effectiveness.
